Who Made This Service?
The emTweet service was created by Daniel Clarke. Daniel (hey talking about myself in 3rd person is cool) has created a range of websites and has work featured on MTV Germany, Metro, ThisIsLondon, Virgin Media, AskMen, TotalPCGaming, Computer Active, Miro Featured and thousands of websites. I work freelance and have a goal of being able to pay for more Cola.
Will This Slow Down My Site?
The Javascript is as small as we could make it. It has been designed so that it loads after your content, meaning your site will not be any slower for the end user, minus some microseconds. Because it's Dynamic using Ajax methods no page refreshes are required to see new tweets
So in really simple terms what is this?
Basically it's taking twitter, filtering it down and then placing it on your site. Think of it as a way to speak to the visitors on your site right now, or inform them what you're doing. The site is powered by PHP and Javascript, with no server side things running on your site.Will you spy on my visitors?
No! We don't keep any stats from the external files, which means we can't log data such as how many visitors you are getting. We will never do this. Your sites privacy is import. In regards to privacy policies you should not need to update yours because we don't store any data.
Why Do This For Free?
Because we're not stupid! You will visit here and one in lets say a thousand people use an advert to find something cool. That's how we make money. So you don't have to worry about us being nasty and doing bait and switch.
